4 Good Watermelon Basic Fertilizers

Types of watermelon basic fertilizer

2. Fertipos and NPK basic fertilizer 16-16-16

3. Bokashi and NPK Watermelon Basic Fertilizer

Bokashi is a fermented organic (manure) fertilizer. After going through the fermentation process, the fertilizer becomes decomposed so that it is ready to be absorbed by the watermelon.

The optimal amount of bokashi is 7.5 tons/hectare. The NPK is 350 kg/hectare.

Based on the research, the number of bokashi and NPK was the most optimal compared to bokashi 10 tons/hectare and NPK 700 kg/hectare. 

4. Chicken Manure Watermelon Basic Fertilizer

Chicken manure contains the highest nutrients when compared to goat or cow manure.

Using chicken manure for basic fertilizer for watermelon plants provides good yield growth. Based on research, 10 tons/hectare chicken manure is the right amount.

Chicken manure is sprinkled evenly on the land two weeks before planting. Even better if given mulch for planting.
